Webinar Case Study: Beta Launch for BreathingCo
Launching BreathingCo’s First-Ever Webinar from (Basically) No List
Project Type
Industry
The Need
BreathingCo needed a credible, interactive format to educate a skeptical clinical audience—especially for a counterintuitive product that benefits from explanation, not just exposure. A webinar offered three things they were missing:
A structured way to teach the “why” and “how” in one sitting
A conversion point for demand gen (not just clicks and views)
A repeatable asset they could use with reps, partners, and distributors after the live event
But first, they needed to prove they could actually launch one without a built-in list.
The Challenge
No list, no runway
At launch, BreathingCo had roughly ~50 contacts collected organically over time. That’s not a webinar engine. That’s barely a group text.
High-skepticism market
Respiratory clinicians don’t register for fluff. If the webinar smelled like a product pitch, it would flop.
Distributor-driven go-to-market complexity
BreathingCo needed a system that supported partner and rep distribution—not just direct-to-audience marketing.
Registration growth had to come from multiple sources
With a tiny owned list, registrations needed to be manufactured through:
paid discovery
organic visibility
partner/reps pushing signups in the field
The Approach
Step 1: Treat the webinar like a demand gen campaign, not an “event”
We approached it like a conversion product:
clear audience + job-to-be-done
a topic positioned around real clinical reality (education-first)
registration as the primary conversion action
Step 2: Build a multi-source registration pipeline
Instead of relying on one channel, we built three parallel feeders:
Paid promotion
Ads used to reach relevant clinicians and drive them to register.Organic social
Consistent posting to build awareness and legitimacy leading up to the event.Partner/reps enablement
A simple, field-friendly handout with a QR code so reps/partners could drive signups without friction.
Step 3: Make “sign up” feel worth it
We positioned the webinar to deliver practical value—something clinicians would actually attend for—so registration didn’t feel like signing up to be hunted by sales.
Step 4: Run it as a beta, then reuse the asset
This wasn’t just “one webinar.” The goal was to create a repeatable launch motion and a reusable educational asset for future campaigns and partner support.
The Solution
A repeatable “webinar from zero” launch playbook BreathingCo can use again:
start with a small owned list (or none)
use ads + organic to drive discovery
turn partners/reps into distribution multipliers with simple tools
build registrations without depending on Google search or existing database scale
The Results
100+ webinar registrations
Achieved with an owned list starting at ~50 contacts (and essentially no established webinar audience)
Registrations driven by a blended channel mix:
Paid ads
Organic social
Partner/reps handouts + QR signups
