About this website.
Based on the true story of Le Petomane, a top entertainer at the Moulin Rouge circa 1900, “Le Petomane” was reated by over 300 people and shot at Universal Studios, Writer/Director Steve Ochs mounts an over the top, full-blown historical staging that takes advantage of his subject’s ludicrous nature by presenting it as a straight drama…but it might be the funniest “drama” ever! And of course, for a creatively fartacular website, Steve turned to MESH.
Complete social media intregration.
With a small budget to create and market the film, it was important that we leverage as much social buzz as we could. The site features deep integration with various social media channels include YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter.
Dynamic photo gallery.
We could only show so much of the movie through video and the trailer, so we decided to create a dynamic photo gallery that allows viewers to get a good sense of the period, as well as quality of the film-making.
Graphically rich and easy to use.
The site was created to reflect the period, as well as have a theatrical quality to it. It’s set up and designed to be easy to use, and easy to update.
Many options to buy
We helped the film’s maker set the site up to allow for as many channels to acquire the movie as possible—increasing the chances of success.
Sounds great, less filling!
The whole goal of the site is to sell the DVD. Everything within the site is aimed being entertaining and at accomplishing this—from the graphics, to buttons, to use of color and fonts… to the ease of purchasing. Everything—down to the custom technique employed in drawing in relevant sounds as the user mouses over different areas of the site. Check it out!
