About this website.
When I was hired as the Senior Designer at LeMaitre Vascular, I brought with me web design experience that wasn’t a function within the company before. I worked to improve the look and functionality of the web site, and to bring it more in line with the corporate standards I was creating.
Creative solutions within corporate constraints.
Part of the challenge of this site was that whatever I created or changed had to fit into their predefined template. There were clear cut areas for headers, navigation, and content which I had no flexibility to change.
Tighter integration with our marketing programs.
This version was a clean compromise between the old version and my vision for a new design. I’d been able to bring a little more structure to the site, while utilizing areas that were static before and replacing them with relevant messaging that leads users deeper into the site. There are now clear and distinct sections of the site, and the products are much easier to find. I also increased the interest of the home page by adding a randomly generated flash advertisement that features our main products. This coincides with the products we were advertising in trade journals and promoting through our sales channels.
