About This Project:

eCornell, established in 2000 and owned by Cornell University, offers an online learning curriculum that is designed for professional development in multiple areas of business. eCornell strives to retain the Ivy League experience through every course and was looking for a new web site that would accurately reflect this.

Ross Pearo, says that eCornell partnered with MESH to achieve this because, “MESH’s response to our RFP indicated a keen understanding of our business and the multiple roles our website plays in our communication strategies for our students, clients, and the Cornell University community. We were impressed with the quality of MESH’s portfolio of work and their approach to working with clients like eCornell to create functional and great looking websites.” We chose to focus on the user experience, organization of information, and clean, clutter-free presentation. This resulted in an easy to use, well organized site.

MESH’s redesign was developed in a CMS (content management system), making the updating, editing and managing extremely easy for the eCornell team. The web site strategically communicates across multiple audiences including, students, clients and the Cornell University community. In addition, the site pulls data dynamically from eCornell’s proprietary course management database. This results in customers being able to see up-to-date course listing information, as well as purchase courses on the fly. The eCornell team is able to minimize redundancies, since we are able to post the same data that is used in all of their materials.

Features of the web site include: custom flash design on the home page, live chat tool, secure login portal, social bookmarking tools, multiple conversion forms, ajax course listings, and a dynamic eCornell catalog section.
